My Students
In my history class, we look to the past to understand who we are. We study both U.S. and world history, attempting to interpret the past through student-led research. Students discover history through a variety of rigorous activities and self-paced online lessons.
My middle school is a Title I school that mainly serves minority students.
We have a wide range of learners, from the exceptional children to the academically gifted. Our school was built in the 1920s and has a long tradition of hard work and community.
My Project
When returning to school, student safety will be of the utmost importance. Social distancing, hand washing, and masks will do their part, but we also need to be mindful of the surfaces that they touch.
These portable chargers can be sanitized after every use and allow students to minimize sharing extension cords, using outlets, and the need to rearrange seats to charge their computers.
And because computers will be a critical necessity to returning to face-to-face learning without sharing textbooks, paper, etc., having these devices die on use in the middle of the class would bring the lesson to a screeching halt for our children.
