My Project
I’m requesting three massage chairs for my classroom to support student wellness and emotional regulation. Middle school can be a stressful and overwhelming time, and many of my students face a variety of personal, academic, and social challenges. Having multiple massage chairs available will allow more students to access a calming sensory experience when they need it most—helping them reduce anxiety, release tension, and return to learning with greater focus and clarity. These chairs will be an important addition to our classroom's calm corner, creating a supportive space where students can take short, meaningful breaks to reset and recharge.
I’ve seen how effective intentional self-regulation tools can be in helping students stay engaged and emotionally balanced throughout the day.
While we currently use breathing techniques and movement breaks, the addition of three massage chairs would significantly expand our ability to meet students' diverse needs. By offering more than one chair, we can ensure that students don’t have to wait to access this resource, making our classroom feel even more responsive and inclusive. This investment in student well-being will help create a classroom culture where care, focus, and emotional health are valued and supported every day.
