Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For our project, I would love to get new outdoor play items for my kindergarten students to use during recess. These items, ranging from bucket stilts, sand toys, balls and more, will make a significant difference in the students' learning and development. Building with giant blocks promotes active and imaginative play, which is crucial for fostering physical, social, and cognitive skills. Playing catch with the toss and catch game will improve coordination, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills, all while having providing fun for students during recess time.

The goal for this project is to provide a stimulating and enriching recess experience for my kindergarten students with age-appropriate toys, encouraging them to explore their creativity, build strong relationships with their peers, and learn.

Basically, I want to create a safe and inclusive outdoor play environment where students can explore and play together.

What makes our kindergarten students special is their eagerness to play and their natural curiosity. Our school is comprised of amazing children from various cultural backgrounds and abilities, making it a vibrant and inclusive community. Our students demonstrate extraordinary determination and eagerness to learn, which inspires us as educators every day. We believe that by providing them with the right resources and opportunities, we can nurture their unique potential and help them thrive both academically and personally.
