My students from North Carolina are enthusiastic, athletic, and always energetic when they come to school. I have been coaching and teaching for 3 years now at my school and the interest for new sports has been increasing. I love their willingness to learn new games and their constant drive to improve.
Without the proper equipment, my students lack an opportunity to participate in sports at a crucial age in their development.
Students have been asking to do something new and exciting that they can play all the time. Their special talents make it possible to pick up a new sport and be able to play regardless of their age or time of day.
All my students deserve a unique and different sport experience. My physical education classes are very busy with the curriculum we have in place, so I'd like the students to have an opportunity outside of school to learn games they can play during recess and after school.
My Project
If this project gets funded, all the students will be able to participate in all the recess games we used to love as kids. Students will be able to play four square, kickball, basketball games, jump rope, and so much more! I want to spark a love for physical activity because these students deserve it.
This can impact the entire community because this equipment will be available to students daily.
They can teach others in the community and be able to use the four square painted stencils after school hours.
At the end of the day, we all want the youth of this generation to thrive and stay active. By teaching them lifetime games, they will be able to stay healthy.
