My Project
3rd grade is such a fun year with a lot of big concepts to learn. From day one, we are hard a work on reading strategies and learning multiplication facts.
The students work so hard throughout the day; they deserve some fun at recess!
The ball set and jump ropes will mostly be used during our recess time for them to let loose and have fun. While using these items, they will also be developing fine and gross motor skills, hand-eye coordination, teamwork, and communication skills. My students typically would love sitting on a computer or video game system at home, so having them enjoy games during the day will be so beneficial.
I also plan on using some of the items as a way to work on skills we are learning in the classroom. For example, the kids love it when I write math facts outside using chalk. This seemingly simple switch keeps them so engaged and eager to learn more!
The prizes will be used for positive reinforcement and classroom challenges.
