Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students and I are extremely excited to enjoy recess outdoors! My students will now enjoy 15 minutes of unstructured play time. This recess will help those over-stressed students who may also lack social skills. Recess also benefits focus and has been shown to improve students’ ability to stay on task when they are back in the classroom.
Recess is crucial to children’s development, mental and physical health, social and emotional learning and academic success.
My students will be able to enjoy reading a good book on the picnic blanket. They will be able to play board games while sitting on the stools. They will also have the option to play soccer and or volleyball. My students will definitely benefit from these resources.
