Help me give my students the tools to show the creativity and physical activity. The dry-erase markers, lapboards, and floor mats will do exactly that.
My amazingly energetic and extremely active 3rd-5th graders show determination and resolve when playing at recess. From climbing on the monkey bars, playing a pick-up game of soccer between different classes, and learning how to shoot a basketball, they constantly are in motion.
They have vivid imaginations and love being outside.
When they have conflicts, they resolve them very peacefully. As we are a rural school, nearly a third of my students come from low-income families, so the more opportunities I can provide for them to develop as positive, happy children is a win for everyone!
My Project
This project focuses on materials for our indoor/outdoor recess time for grades K-4.
How do you help a child express their imagination?
You give them the tools, resources, and support they need and they will do the rest!
The dry erase markers, boards, crayons, and coloring books will allow my students to show their creativity, imagination, and vision.
The jump rope, basketballs, and soccer balls will let my students learn from the art of play. The board games, floor mats will be used for our indoor recess when the weather is not cooperating with us!
All of these items will give my students the resources they need to be happy, creative, and cooperative children as they learn and practice these life skills.
