My Students

My students are a very talented group of students who love academics as well as their extracurricular activities. The students work very hard to achieve and maintain their grades while having a very successful sports life. The students participate in multiple extracurricular activities throughout the year. The students in our school participate in year round band, football, basketball, and baseball.

The majority of the students come from low income homes and must walk through unsafe neighborhoods to get to school.

This does not stop our students from coming to school with a smile on their face ready to learn in a safe environment.

My Project

These instruments will help to rebuild the music program here that has helped so many students before and during the pandemic. Music has helped students express themselves, have an outlet and has given some a positive activity to do after school. Some students have gone to college with a music scholarship using the skills they learned here. We hope to continue this forward movement of bright scholars towards college and beyond. Music has a way of reaching those who seem lost and guide students who otherwise may not have guidance. Please help us to guide our students in the right direction.
