This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items on my list—like a toy storage organizer for manipulatives, a thermal laminator, stackable bins for centers, student mailboxes, and easel pads for anchor charts—will make a huge difference in our day-to-day classroom life. These are tools I use daily to keep our space organized, student-friendly, and joyful. With these essentials, I can create a learning environment that’s calm, structured, and built for student success and independence.
I’m rebuilding my classroom from the ground up, and I need your help to bring it back to life.
After taking time off to care for my mental health, I gave away all my classroom materials to first-year teachers, local families, and paraprofessionals who needed support. I knew I’d return to teaching, but I also knew others needed those items more at that moment. Now, I’m stepping back into the classroom—refreshed, renewed, and ready—but starting completely from scratch. This project will help me restock not just supplies, but the heart and soul of my teaching space.
What makes my students so special is that they’re more than just learners—they’re part of a classroom family. I prioritize building a community rooted in empathy, responsibility, and belonging. I want every child to feel like they matter, not just in school, but in the world. In our classroom, we grow together—as thinkers, as friends, and as kind humans.
