Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As most of you know, funding is tight in many school districts. Unfortunately, that does not mean that we stop offering programs that are in place to help improve the quality of education our students receive! When I arrived on campus as the new Head Football Coach, one of the first things I did was look at the equipment available to help teach these young athletes to play the game safely.

Much of the equipment is old and worn out or just not there.

We do not have tackling dummies to help teach the art of tackling and limit the number of player-to-player contacts that are needed to develop the skill. I would like the opportunity to provide these young athletes with a positive and unforgettable experience. That is difficult to do when you don't have proper equipment available, nor the funds to purchase what is need. We honestly need more than is listed here, but we know we need to be patient and do this is steps.

We definitely appreciate any assistance we can get and will work hard to be successful!!
