Rebellious Read Alouds for Conversations About Diversity
Help me give my students read aloud books that invite conversations about diversity such as: IntersectionAllies: We Make Room for All, Grandpa Grumps, Becoming Vanessa, and Fry Bread: a Native American Family Story.

My Project
I strive to center inclusiveness and diversity in my teaching practice. Incorporating read alouds centered on diverse identities is a starting point for powerful conversations that are essential for children to learn about the world around them. As a global educator it's my responsibility to instill awareness, compassion, and acceptance of others and the books included in this project will support my efforts.
Children deserve to have their identity honored and these books will ensure all of my students are represented.
The themes of these books will allow for a true safe space for deep conversations, big thinking, and tackling some of our deepest emotions.
