My Project

Students in our school are struggling with reading, some multiple grade levels below the national average. We are a school in downtown Detroit in an area where the resources are few and far between.

I've been working to bring a library to the school through donations as well as DonorsChoose.

Now I want to add mobility of learning to read outside the classroom with dictionaries, thesauruses, and other portable reading tools. Just today I had students come in to grab a book out of my library. I want to give them the accessories and tools to take their reading up a notch.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
