This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students must keep up with the latest advancements in education to spark an interest in reading. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interest of my students. Students in my classroom like to read but need the phonics basics in order to help them become proficient.
Struggling readers will often ask to use more hands-on materials, to help them complete phonics work.
Students who have resources like this find reading fun and begin to read more for enjoyment! Helping students begin to learn that reading is fun is perfect way to build better readers. Phonics boards are a gateway to better reading skills for reluctant readers. My students will love getting their hands on these.
