My students need a reality check. I am asking for donors to donate 2 Baby Care kits because I want to teach my students the responsibility of being a parent.

My Students

Many young students today take part in intercourse without thinking of the effects that can take place. I want my students to see the potential threat in taking part in unsafe intercourse.

I have the amazing job of working with 8 students each and everyday.

When the naked eye looks at my students, you see 8 adolescent students. The truth is that I work with students who have different disabilities, ranging in ages of 14 to 19. It is a scary thought, but most students these ages are now taking part in intercourse, and I don't want my students entering this step unprepared. Each school year, the budget allows each teacher a little money and they use it for school supplies. That is what I have done with my funds, and am now asking that you help us realize what all goes on after intercourse.

My Project

Several television shows on various stations promote the idea of young students taking part in intercourse and go as far as having children themselves. These infants and supplies would offer me aid in teaching a unit on child care. This could make students realize the importance of safe sex and teach them how to take care of a child if and when they ever do have a child. Those same television shows star adolescent adults who struggle with their children and magazines and news papers report these same persons loosing their children each day. It is personally heart wrenching to imagine that any of my students could be taking part in these activities that could cause them to become young parents when they are not ready. This will prepare my students to be successful parents when their time comes and may cause them to take a look at the risk of unsafe- intercourse overall.

This project is important to me because it is a way to see students become more prepared into situations that they are getting into.

More and more students are ending up pregnant and are unprepared to take care of the children because they are just children themselves. My goal is to educate students on child care and show them one of the effects to having intercourse.
