Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach Anatomy and Physiology to mostly 11th and 12th grade students with a sprinkling of 10th grade students. They have chosen this class because most desire to make a difference in the medical field. Last year, I had a student who didn’t engage in class until we did hands-on activities and actually saw the human body from the inside.

I desire that all my students will develop a love for this creation, the human body.

They are very ambitious and many of them have goals of going into the medical field. I am very proud and excited about their plans for the future. Any steps we can take to help these students reach their goals will be of great benefit.

My Project

I teach Anatomy and Physiology at a Title I school in Arlington, Texas. I love being able to make my students excited about the human body through hands-on activities such as taking their fellow students' BP. I believe having these machines will ensure that all of my students can have the same opportunites and that we can finish our labs in a more timely manner.

I know that my students deserve to have a level playing field when it comes to being prepared to compete in the world.

They need to know that there are others who believe in them.
