This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 8th grade students’ understanding of math is incredibly important to me—not just for their academic success, but for their confidence and ability to think critically in everyday life.

I strive to create a classroom where students don’t just memorize procedures, but truly grasp the "why" behind the math.

Graphing calculators can play a key role in this process by helping students visualize complex concepts, explore real-world applications, and test their ideas instantly. These tools allow for more dynamic and engaging lessons, giving students the chance to interact with math in a hands-on way that deepens their understanding.

With graphing calculators, I can better support diverse learning styles and help every student build a strong, lasting foundation in mathematics that will carry them through high school and beyond.
