I am beyond blessed to have such amazing students. My students are in the gifted education program. They show giftedness in one or more of the following domains; intellectual, creative, artistic, leadership, and/or specific academic fields.
My gifted students in small-town Mississippi need real-world opportunities to demonstrate their creativity.
My fifth and sixth-grade students require more than basic academic stimulation. The academic needs of my students require diversity, opportunities for high levels of creativity, and instruction different than the norm. My amazing students need opportunities to have all of their needs met.
My Project
The materials requested in the project will allow students to promote their accomplishments in the classroom, support special school events, and advertise for local businesses. The supplies will also allow students opportunities to collaborate, brainstorm, problem-solve, and create new ways to display their creativity.
A Cricut Explore and accessories will help meet the high creativity needs of my students.
Not only will it meet their needs, but it will also give them an opportunity to showcase their work outside of the classroom and school building. The students will be able to create items to assist the marketing needs of local businesses by creating vinyl cutouts for many different items such as; cups, bags, and shirts. The students will also be able to apply these same marketing ideas to promote their school and school events. More importantly, they will be promoting their accomplishments and creativity.
