My Project

My students love to code and love to build, however finding safe to use electrical circuit kits that can also be coded and programmed through their computer science platform can be very difficult. The codeable circuit kits available are often too tiny or too complex for our elementary students and the appropriately safe circuit kits do not have codeable options available for their level of coding ability (they need a greater challenge); then I stumbled across SNAP:BIT

Snap:Bit allows students to utilize appropriately challenging coding problems with Micro:bit and safe to utilize electrical circuits using Snap Circuits.

Our school is already lucky enough to have Micro:bits and Snap Circuits through a few grants and previous DonorsChoose projects and these amazing resources allows our school to better utilize both of these STEM tools across more grade levels and groups.

I just came across this amazing item today and knew immediately that it had to be my next DonorsChoose project. Using these kids will learn tremendously and have fun too!
