This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are 50 energetic, inquisitive nine and ten year old fourth graders. They have lots of energy and bold imaginations. They love spending indoor recess creating useful items out of duct tape. Also, they really love doing projects and oral presentations like debates.
In ELA (English Language Arts) class, and Social Studies, they could benefit from a Nearpod to help teachers create interactive learning experiences that students love.
The program will help them gain the information needed to complete their reports in a more timely manner when working in small groups. Oftentimes they need to do research on topics like sharks, or famous American figures. Student groups currently have to rotate the 6 mini laptops. With the Nearpod more students can get their projects done in a timely manner. Time is so precious, that this investment will literally be a time saver.
