My Project

We are a 4th grade class, in Villa Rica, GA. Our favorite unit is the study of ecosystems. To bring our learning to life, we are hoping to raise funds for a complete river tank ecosystem kit.

This kit will provide us with everything we need to create a miniature freshwater river environment in our classroom.

With the tank, we can observe and study the fascinating interactions between the plants, fish, invertebrates, and microorganisms that thrive in a river ecosystem.

By directly observing this mini river, students will gain a deeper understanding of the different species that make up a river ecosystem how these species interact with each other and their environment, and the importance of healthy water quality.

This river tank ecosystem kit will be an invaluable resource for our classroom. It will provide hands-on learning experiences that will not only excite students about science but will also help them develop critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills. By studying this mini river, students will develop a better understanding of the delicate balance of freshwater ecosystems and the importance of conservation.
