My students have multiple disabilities and are in a self-contained classroom setting. All students learn using the extended standards and use technology and communication devices to communicate with teachers and peers.
The students in my classroom benefit from a small group setting with minimal distractions, including noise, people moving around and talking.
The students work through independent work, bucket work using manipulatives, typing and one-on-one with the teacher. The students in my classroom enjoy music, computer and playing outside. The students enjoy working together and working with the adults to further their knowledge in the classroom and community.
My Project
Learning Alive Plus Suite will assist all of the students in my classroom because they will be able to see real examples of animals, math problems and the alphabet. Students will be able to experience the learning of the alphabet, colors, sentences and sight words. Students will be able to see real life actions while learning basic skills.
In my classroom many of the students learn using visual materials while being hands on.
The Learning Alive program will assist in the classroom allowing the kids to see first hand and manipulate the materials for learning. This will help in making learning letters, numbers, and objects fun for the students and give the students an image to remember when being assessed.
