This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having an earthquake simulator and tools for problem-solving allows students to engage in hands-on, experiential learning, closely mirroring the practices of real engineers and scientists. The earthquake simulator offers a tangible way to understand the principles of seismic activity, encouraging students to design and test structures under realistic conditions. This fosters critical thinking and experimentation, as they must analyze results and refine their designs based on failure and success.

Additionally, tools/ and building supplies for solving everyday problems empower students to tackle real-world challenges, promoting creativity and innovation.

By working through practical scenarios, they learn to apply scientific concepts and engineering principles, developing essential skills such as collaboration, communication, and resilience. This active involvement not only deepens their understanding of STEM subjects but also inspires a sense of agency, preparing them to become problem-solvers and innovators in their future careers. Overall, these resources cultivate a mindset of inquiry and adaptability, essential traits for aspiring engineers and scientists.
