My students need the ability to utilize the iPads that are waiting for protection before they will be released to us! In addition to something to protect our iPads, we need other filming equipment.

My Students

My students are unique in their passions, but they share a common drive to excel. Because they audition for entrance into the school, they represent ALL neighborhoods within Savannah, and some outside of the county, too! They bring with them a diversity of backgrounds, talents, skills, and experiences.

I wanted to teach middle school because I want students to know that whatever they want to do, they can.

It takes drive and determination, and often times they don't get the encouragement you need when you want to pursue creative endeavors.

My Project

I teach three grade levels of Communication Arts. In those classes, we focus on everything from typography and graphic design to broadcast and film. The equipment chosen for this project will help get the resources in the hands of students so that they can experiment, explore, and apply their knowledge to create a variety of digital media applications.

I've already been awarded the iPads through a technology grant from our district, now I just need the iPad cases so I can get them into the classroom!

Students also need the ability to showcase their knowledge of setting up shots and our future film-makers always want the best possible outcome for their projects. By providing them with tripods and lighting equipment it helps their overall production value.

Many students don't have access to technology which is why it is so important that I fund this project so that I can get those resources into our classroom as quickly as possible.
