Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students in my class are fun loving and hardworking. They love to read and look forward to math and science.

As a school located in an urban area, my students face many challenges.

For my students, school is a safe place where they come ready to learn every day! My school is very proud of how hard our students work and the accomplishments they make each day. These students are hard workers and are ready to learn so they can become future leaders in our community.

My Project

Somewhere in my classroom lurks a black hole that sucks students' pencils in and make it impossible to complete their assignments. I hear multiple times throughout the course of a lesson that a pencil has gone missing. We usually have to stop and search our desks for pencils for students to borrow. I would like to have a huge supply of pencils for my students so they can complete their assignments. I would put the pencils in a cup on my desk and then students can take pencils as they need.

Having a pencil is the first step to success!
