My Students

My students are 5th graders located in the beautiful, capital city of Charleston, WV. They are eager learners and have hearts of gold. A large majority of the students come from low socioeconomic homes, but that doesn't keep them from being engaged in the classroom.

I feel that the more engaged in learning they are, the more they will enjoy it, and the more they will retain.

These students love cooperative learning and completing projects. They work hard and are always willing to put forth 100% effort. Instilling a strong foundation in education can make a big difference in their successful futures.

My Project

Privacy dividers are essential in a classroom. We use them for snack time since students have to remove their masks. We also use them while taking tests or just during moments that students need to focus and block out their surroundings. The dividers we currently have are several years old and are starting to fall apart. We are in need of some newer ones that will hold up to daily use.

Headphones are in short supply as the year goes by, but still in high demand as we use our devices for a variety of reasons throughout the day.

The headphones would be used for students that do not have a personal pair that they can bring to school with them.
