These items will be used for my the middle school dance crew I co-teach. This is the connecting school to the Elementary School I teach at. We just started our dance crew this year and they were able to place 1st at their first dance competition. At our next competition we will be moving up from division 11 to division 1. These items will help us step up our game. We don't have the money to afford props, costume pieces or set design without donations and fundraising.
My goal for this project is to help my students succeed at their second dance competition as it will be challenging moving in to the higher level division.
My students are special because they thrive in the arts, not only in dance but also in visual arts, singing, playing instruments, and acting. The arts provide a safe place for the students at my school to express themselves and grow as individuals. My students come from a variety of backgrounds making what they contribute to our community rich and exceptional in many ways.
