This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The children in my class are sweet and inquisitive. They overcome many hurdles before they even walk into my classroom. Many come from one parent homes and families that don't speak English at home. Most live below the poverty line and rely on us to provide for many of their basic schools needs. Despite all the obstacles they face, they are still successful and eager to learn! I work as the special education teacher in an ICT (integrated Co-teaching) class. 40% of our students have an IEP and 80% of them are English Language Learners.
My Project
Please help give my blended students and I a better learning experience in class and at home. A MacBook Pro will allow me to connect with them remotely and also provide technology for my students when they are in school. Unfortunately many of my students do not have access to technology and having an additional reliable source in our classroom will help them access their sessions with service providers. It will also allow me to connect with their remote teacher and collaborate and prepare work for their remote learning days.
