My Project
Being able to decode is extremely important and I want to make sure that when they move on they have the confidence and skills to be great. Reviewing and introducing new phonics skills is a big part of early education. Having the right texts to apply skills not only reinforces what has be taught but allows students to take ownership and pride in their understanding.
Decodable text is the type of text that focuses on the phonetic code and presents words to students that follow the concepts that they have been taught.
The product I have selected to purchase for my students provides a variety of printable and digital decodable books. These texts also aligns to the science of reading and phonemic instruction. Decoding skills are essential in the primary grades for successful reading. I know that this product will give my students the additional practice they need to be the successful readers.
