This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a family of 26. We are part of the Bronx community. My students are constantly finding new ways to learn and expand their learning horizons. My students are a bubbly group of students that are deserving of materials that will have them access more information and challenge their learning!
The joy that comes through my students eyes and smile when they are learning is astounding.
My students have a thirst for knowledge where they are always striving to be better than were the day before day. They are hard working third graders.
My Project
My students need these items in our classroom. As a teacher I struggle at times to find the resources for my students and books happens to be one of them! Giving my students books to read that are in sets just like these books that I am asking for will allow my students to enter in book clubs and cooperative reading and conversations!
They have such great ideas and have such a thirst for learning and reading but it becomes hindered when they don't have books at the reading level or new books that interest them!
These books will provide my students will just that; the ability to engross themselves into a world of fantasy or mystery, or even learn something new from a nonfiction book! Please help my students have this opportunity, they deserve it and so much more!
