it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am continually inspired by my students' eagerness to explore new ideas. Their joy in discovering new stories and characters is truly heartwarming. To support and nurture their love for reading, I am requesting a variety of book titles that captivate their interests, including popular series like Dogman, Trapped in a Video Game, and Princess in Black. These books are not only age-appropriate but also highly engaging, encouraging my 2nd graders to immerse themselves in the world of literature.
By providing these beloved titles, we can cater to their individual preferences and foster a lifelong passion for reading.
Additionally, I am requesting a class set of "The Wild Robot" for our shared reading activities. This captivating story will allow us to embark on a collective literary adventure, fostering a sense of community and sparking thoughtful discussions. Through reading and discussing "The Wild Robot" together, students will develop critical thinking skills, enhance their comprehension, and build stronger connections with one another. Your support in providing these books will significantly enrich our classroom environment, inspire my students to become avid readers, and help them develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
