Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are curious about learning, reading, science, and math. They are little sponges who are always asking why or trying to tell others the reasons for the why.
After enduring Hurricane Harvey, the tender hearts of the children and their willingness to give are the things that I admire most.
We are at the beginning of the school year and so my littles are adjusting to school. One morning, a child started to cry. It was as though the whole group felt his pain as they all started to get up and give him a hug and console him. There were hugs, pats on the shoulder, words of comfort, and I had to try hard to keep my eyes dry.
This is why I teach as I would like to give my children every opportunity to grow their greatness inside and out. They should have every chance to learn, share, and become great community leaders as they continue to support each other.
My Project
My students are ready to listen and ready to learn. Building Math Skills listening centers will help all children at different levels of learning as they begin to practice counting items one to one. The skills in this kit will advance students at individual speeds to help them on the path of math. Combined with the multipurpose headphones, the children will be able to have easy access to independent learning.
Students learn to listen carefully to important instructions, and this was a very important skill when evacuating for Hurricane Harvey.
Our children need to continue to grow their listening skills and advance their knowledge, vocabulary, and understanding of the English language.
Working headphones that are complete with ear pads will be a welcome luxury and will be much appreciated. The fact that the headphones have adaptable plugs are an extra bonus as students can use the headphones at the listening center or the computer.
