Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in a community of low income families that care and are passionate about their children education. My students are hard working, dedicated and committed to learn. I will be teaching third grade this year and I know we will be focusing a lot on reading and writing. I am asking for a mobile teaching easel because my students will have access to various teaching pedagogies, strategies, and resources for literacy and writing. By having access to this easel, my students will benefit from these resources by providing a fun learning experience and educational environment.

Furniture in a classroom is more than just tables and chairs—it shapes how students learn, feel, and interact.

Flexible and comfortable seating options help students focus, collaborate, and take ownership of their learning. When students have the ability to move, sit comfortably, and work in spaces that fit their needs, they are more engaged and motivated to participate.

For many students, having a choice in where and how they learn helps them build independence and responsibility. The right furniture creates a welcoming, safe environment where every student feels valued and ready to learn. It reduces distractions, helps with organization, and supports different learning styles, whether students are working independently, in small groups, or during whole-class activities.

Investing in classroom furniture is an investment in student well-being, confidence, and academic growth. It sends a clear message: “Your comfort and learning matter.”
