Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are proud of our incredible 5th graders, who lead with kindness, curiosity, and courage. As the oldest students in our building, they are role models for the younger grades and take their leadership role seriously. Whether they’re reading to younger students, participating in after school clubs, or diving into challenging academic tasks, they rise to every occasion with heart and hustle. We want to give them the tools they need to start the school year strong and confident.

Our students deserve to begin the school year with the supplies they need to learn, create, and lead.

This project will provide each of our 5th graders with basic school supplies, including pencils, crayons, markers, colored pencils, scissors, glue sticks, and more. These materials aren’t just for coloring and cutting—they’re for building graphic organizers in reading, illustrating math concepts, and completing science experiments and writing projects. With these resources in hand, our students can fully engage in hands-on learning without interruption or worry about not having what they need.

In previous years, our district has been able to provide school supplies, but unfortunately, due to funding shortages, that support won’t be available this year. We do not want this burden to fall on our families or our teachers. By helping us meet this basic but essential need, you’re giving our students the chance to focus on what matters most—growing, learning, and leading. Your support sends a powerful message to our students: their education matters, and their community believes in their potential.
