Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second-grade classroom is full of curious, hardworking, and enthusiastic learners who are eager to grow, but many of them struggle with foundational reading and writing skills. To better support their learning, we are in need of a classroom easel and Chromebook charging apparatuses.

A Lakeshore Store and display teaching cart would allow me to model writing strategies, display anchor charts, and provide visual supports in a way that’s clear and engaging for my 7- and 8-year-old students.

It creates a central spot for learning where students can gather, participate, and interact with the content in a hands-on way. For students who are developing early literacy skills, this kind of visual and shared learning space is incredibly important.

We’re also in need of a reliable way to keep our Chromebooks charged. Right now, we don’t have a charging station, which means students often start the day with devices that aren’t ready for use. This limits their access to digital learning tools that are essential for reading practice, writing activities, and individualized support.
