Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goals of this project are to provide my multilingual learners with the supplies and supports they need to feel successful this school year. We need Sharpies, disinfecting wipes, and other basic supplies in our room to keep us running and healthy throughout the year.

We also would greatly benefit from having an iPad that stays in our room and can be used solely for translation purposes.

How great would it be the empower my students to advocate for themselves and be confident in their work by having some independent translation support? I have many immigrants who arrive with little to no English. They often suffer from anxiety because they are unable to communicate with teachers and peers who speak other languages. We have so many new arrivals who would feel so much better if they could have extra support expressing themselves. You can make all this possible!
