My Project

The specific items I’m requesting will have a daily impact on my students’ learning by ensuring that every child has access to the tools they need to succeed. The markers and paper clips will help students to be immediately ready for whole group lessons. I wait often because my students are digging in their bags to find their materials. With this project, markers and clips will be in baskets ready for them to use. The backpacks will be donated to the students who already have large holes in t here bag and end up holding their books from each of the 7 periods they have. My goal is to have these resources readily available, I can ensure that no student feels left out or unprepared for the day’s lessons. This support allows them to focus on their learning without the distraction of lacking materials, creating a more inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

My students are unique because we are a small island community with just one public school, and that makes my students truly special.

They come from diverse backgrounds, united by the shared experience of living in a close-knit environment where education is one of our strongest assets. Despite our limited resources, my students show incredible resilience, determination, and a desire to learn. They inspire me with their creativity, curiosity, and the way they support one another as a team.

By providing these essential items, we aim to level the playing field for all students, regardless of their personal circumstances. Our goal is to foster an environment where every child feels valued, capable, and ready to learn. This project will help break down barriers to education, encouraging my students to reach their full potential and reminding them that they are part of a community that cares about their success.
