I need your help to attend Get Your Teach On this summer, to help me grow as teacher and to always learn great new rigorous ideas to bring back to my classroom.

My Students

I have been a teacher for 10 years now and have taught grades K-6. This is my first full year at DBE and I am loving it. Our school has a wonderful community filled with family and friends that always support our school and each other. I have always have had a passion for the little ones and I am so happy to be back where I belong!

I love my kindergarten students this year, they are an active and vibrant bunch.

They always keep me on my toes! My little ones are a group of intrigued learners and have me researching new ways to get them involved in their learning everyday! I can already tell they need to stay active to stay on track. Research says, little 5 or 6 years olds can only stay on the carpet sitting for 5 or 6 minutes a day!

My Project

Get Your Teach On (GYTO) will be an awesome engagement experience, that I now, will leave me feeling empowered, motivated, and prepared to create rigorous lessons that will challenge my students and amp up my teaching all while building a true love for learning in my kiddos all year long!

The professional development that I hope to gain by attending the GYTO conference is by giving my students a better opportunity at learning and growing as little learners in the classroom and in their lives.

I love teaching and seeing the little light bulbs go off!! It is a wonderful feeling! I have been looking forward to this national conference coming to my state for a long time now. I know it will be a life-changing experience that I will never forget!

(GYTO) has also intrigued me, to learn new concepts and activities to help my students grow, but to always collaborate with different teachers as well. It is always important to network and to learn new things from other teachers as well. Collaboration and Teamwork is also a key to success as a teacher too. I can't wait to share all the new ideas with my kiddos and fellow teammates to use for the new school year!
