Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items in this project will enable my students to engage in hands-on learning activities when learning about the solar system in science. The students in my class utilize a plethora of laminated visuals to help them with their learning. The laminating pouches and paper will help me to create these visuals for my students. Kinetic sand is a very helpful resource for my students to help them feel calm and safe when overwhelmed. During all of our lessons, students receive choice time; the kinetic sand could be a helpful option for them during this time. In addition, the sand will be used to help the students gain a better understanding of the surfaces of different planets in the solar system.
