Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is set up with many centers and activities to encourage play and learning. But a large part of our day is spent on our classroom rug. We have a lot of circle time to read stories, share our writing, and pair-share ideas with classmates. Unfortunately, my students do not have a rug in the classroom anymore.
During the pandemic, our old, dusty rugs were taken out of our classrooms, and we never got them back!
I feel bad that my students do not have classroom rugs to facilitate their learning and our school just does not have the resources to purchase a new rug for us. Your contribution will ensure that my students, and many more in the years to come, will have a place to sit and learn.
