Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom is made up of energetic and dedicated students with special needs. My students are a group of innovative and imaginative kids with a love of learning. This is my first time starting the school year and I am wanting to provide as many tools to help the kids access the curriculum as possible. In order for me to teach to every child's unique needs, I divide my students into small groups where I provide instruction to match their learning styles.
My Project
Small group learning centers are an essential part of my classroom. These centers allow my students to work on improving core skills in literacy such as comprehension and fluency.
My students are a diverse group of visual and kinesthetic learners that concentrate best when they are able to use manipulatives.
They are highly motivated learners that need extra support in order to reach their goals of being able to read at or near their grade level.
VersaTiles are a great way to allow students to work on these core reading skills while also meeting their special learning needs. My students would love to be able to use these in their small group centers to reach their reading goals!
