My Students
Help my first graders to get excited again about learning to read!!! First grade is one of the hardest grades to teach, especially when you have a class of 24 and your students are coming in on reading levels ranging from preschool to 6rd grade. Each student is unique in terms of what they bring into the classroom and each has a unique learning style. It is impossible to reach every student without different levels of reading materials and reading learning games.
My Project
With these materials, my students will have many hands on activities that will help them improve in many language areas including: nouns, verbs, sight words, blends and digraphs. They will be able to work in pairs, small groups or independently to practice many of the concepts that they struggle with.
With the hands on learning games and activities I won't have to use so many boring reading and writing worksheets.
These games and activities make learning fun and exciting for the students while cementing the concepts in their minds. With these materials learning about different language components will be FUN!!
