This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach special needs students in both 2nd and 3rd grade. They are bright and energetic young students. Each student has their own unique learning style, but they share a common struggle with reading.
I would like to help them become better readers as they progress through the school year.
Their personalities and creative spirits make them unique and wonderful. While they each have struggles that make learning more difficult, they are a pleasure to teach, and watching them learn brings joy to my heart. To know them is to love them.
My Project
My students come from various backgrounds, and most have some reading difficulty. With an all-new library, they will have the opportunity to have quality text at their fingertips.
Ready, Set READ!
will give students a variety of texts to choose from that they can relate to and read independently. The mobile book cart and book bins will create a brand new mobile library that gives students access to high interest text.
With a variety of text to choose from and easy-to-access new book bins, students will be motivated to choose books they want and become better readers. Multicultural books will also help students learn about different cultures and how they can connect with their everyday lives.
