This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so proud of the work I’ve done to create a foundation for success. As a proud and passionate ELA teacher, I am preparing a classroom where every student feels inspired to read, reflect, and rise. I’ve requested a selection of meaningful books and essential tools like anchor chart materials and visuals that will help students engage more deeply with stories, structure their thinking, and grow their comprehension. These items will make a real difference by allowing me to create a vibrant, accessible, and organized space for every learner.

I want to make sure my students are not only prepared for the school year—but for the journey ahead and the future that awaits them.

With your support, we will turn our classroom into a launchpad where readers become leaders, and every child can boldly take their first step into a lifelong love of literacy. The reader of the day will be rewarded by using the mobile desk. The markers and sticky pads will be used by students for brainstorming and anchor charts. The pencils and erasers will be used for daily assignments.
