My Project

My 4 and 5 year old Pre-K students are so excited to learn. They are eager to come to school, play with friends and are very inquisitive. I teach in a low income high poverty school district. I plan to use the Lakeshore Learning Word Family Readers in the library center and during small group instruction. They will use Stack-a-Rainbow-Tree Plastic Stacking Blocks, KUTOI Snap n Twist Building Toys -Wocky Blocks, Stack-a-Rainbow-Tree Plastic Stacking Blocks and Montessori Wooden Beads Sequencing Toy Set in the science center. This allows them to create using STEM activities

This is their first school experience and I want to make it a positive one.

I want my classroom to create life long learners. They love center time! Especially the Dramatic Play, Fine Motor, Block and Library centers. In the library center and dramatic play center, What If We Were All The Same!: A Children's Rhyming Book About Ethnic Diversity and Inclusion and It's Okay To Not Be Okay: A Rhyming Read Aloud Story for Children About Feelings of Sadness and Lonelines will be used to teach acceptance of others. Trend Enterprises Inc. - Puzzle Numbers 1-20 and Cupcake Toy Toddler Toy Learning Colors and Shape-Shape Sorting Toys will be used in the math center to sort by color and shape and match objects to the correct number.
