My Project

My kindergarten students have embraced the concept of a Class Family. We are not sisters, brothers, or cousins but we do bond together as one unit.

Each day twenty-one young children walk into a classroom and feel safe, included, and loved.

They understand that our classroom is a safe place and that it is okay to make mistakes. My students like to have fun, so I try to make learning fun and relatable! My students work hard each day, they want to learn and do their very best.

The resources requested will provide many hands-on STEM activities that will engage students in the learning through play process. Children entering school bring with them the capacity to wonder and imagine. When children are able to explore what is around them with their natural curiosity and exuberance, they are fully engaged and primed for learning. Magnetic building blocks, Lego sets, dramatic play sets, and jewelry building will allow my students to explore, learn and have fun! Studies show that students learn best when learning is active, when they are engaged in hands-on classroom activities, and involved in what they are learning. Brand new STEM and play activities like flower building and magnetic drawing boards will engage learners in these new ways. These resources will inspire learning, socialization and innovation!
