This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at an elementary school in Irving, Texas. We are a Title I school with 80 percent low-income families. I have worked at my school for 16 years and every year my gifted and talented kids are different and more eager to learn new innovative things. For that matter, by providing my students with new games and resources that will give them an opportunity to be more curious, to use their imagination and explore their genius side.

My Project

Students will be using their headsets with microphone, with many educational app’s, in which they will be able to record their voice, repeating certain commands. By using these headsets they can improve in all subject areas.

Especially for my group , that are English language learners and having these tools at their finger tips, will enable them to hear more clearly and actually interact with the app.

The table signs will have specific directions to what, and how to use apps. Working in a low income school , kids have less opportunities to engage with such amazing tools that will make them long life learners.
