Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a diverse and high poverty population. They are hardworking and enthusiastic about learning. Every day, they come to school despite hardships and engage in rigorous instruction. Our students take pride in our school. We are their extended family and they count on us to educate and guide them everyday. We have a large group of immigrant students. They are in our classrooms with little or no English skills. Despite their struggles, we perform at a high level.
My Project
This project is very important to me. During this difficult time, learning at school and at home can be challenging. I would like to give my students a set of folders a set and binder tabs to help them get organize their binders. My students will use these folders to help transport information from school to home.
I cannot think of a better way to help support this new learning platform and help my students get ORGANIZED.
Each folder will be colored coded for certain subject areas with a tab. It is very difficult for my students to get the supplies they need due to poverty issues and this pandemic has only escalated the problem.
