My Project

My students are eager learners and come to school ready to learn every day. I have a very diverse class with many different needs. My students need extra support with navigating their social emotional well being and self control. The effects of COVID and lack of social interactions has made more difficult for my students to work together and have a growth mindset.

My students need continuous reinforcement, modeling and opportunities to work harmoniously with each other to offset to ongoing effects of COVID-19.

I plan to use the SEL books and calming strips to help our students focus and promote mindfulness in our classroom. The stickers, Clever Cookie Reward Jar, and treasure box items will be used to help motivate my students. The Language Arts materials, such as the build-a-word magnetic board and comprehension cubes will be used to strengthen their reading skills. The magnets and the clotheslines will be used to display student work and achievements.

Meeting all my students social, emotional, and academic needs is a challenge. Having these materials will help me in tackling the impact that interrupted learning has had in these areas. Your help in purchasing these materials is greatly appreciated.
