The school that I will be teaching at is in a small town located in Virginia. I want to build an environment where students not only come to learn but feel safe doing so. Building relationships and being comfortable in their surrounding area will help reach all learners. Students are the most important part of a classroom. They create the atmosphere each and every day. It is my job to make sure they have everything they need to be successful in their learning!
My Project
As a first year teacher, I have very little to offer my new friends! All students are different so to be successful we will need an area where they can learn as a group but also learn on their own. The easel will provide students with the ability to learn as a whole and to work together on their learning. The students will be able to produce anchor charts along with bubble maps and brainstorming ideas. I would also like to create a comfortable reading nook for my students to focus on their learning and reading. Growing the love to read is one of the most amazing things for students. These students are eager and motivated to learn each and every day. With your help my new friends will have the ability to learn in every way!
