My Students

My kindergarten students are incredible! They are smart, kind, hilarious, and always keep life action-packed. Not only are they learning and growing every single day, but they also help me learn and grow as well. From learning the alphabet at the beginning of the year to learning to full-on read, my students try their very best every day. I teach in a Title I school where the majority of students receive free or reduced price lunch and breakfast. Some students also receive snack packs for the weekend to make sure they are fed. Despite the difficulties that some of my students face, they are always eager to learn so that when they grow up they will be successful. Every day I strive to be a better teacher so that I am able to help my students achieve their dreams!

My Project

Who doesn't like to learn when it's fun?! These hands on games and activities are going to make a huge difference for my little learners because they learn best by doing, using their hands, and having fun at the same time. These phonics games will help my students' learn their letters, beginning, middle, and ending sounds, and help them learn to read! The math centers are going to help my students with number recognition and counting. All of these are essential skills that we learn in kindergarten and are necessary for these students to be successful as they move to 1st grade.
